Oil and Gas shares fall
Oil and Gas stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index falling 139.53 points or 0.81% at 17044.09 at 13:49 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Adani Total Gas Ltd (down 5%), Indraprastha Gas Ltd (down 1.52%),Gujarat Gas Ltd (down 0.88%),Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.3%),Reliance Industries Ltd (down 0.27%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (down 0.26%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.25%), and GAIL (India) Ltd (down 0.23%).
On the other hand, Petronet LNG Ltd (up 0.67%), and Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (up 0.2%) moved up.
At 13:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 45.86 or 0.09% at 52542.85.
The Nifty 50 index was down 13.8 points or 0.09% at 15758.95.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 24.48 points or 0.1% at 25084.79.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 30.06 points or 0.39% at 7765.97.
On BSE,1733 shares were trading in green, 1409 were trading in red and 137 were unchanged.
