Utilties shares ease

Utilties stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Utilities index falling 35.75 points or 2% at 1754.29 at 13:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Utilities index, A2Z Infra Engineering Ltd (down 9.51%), NHPC Ltd (down 6.17%),Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd (down 4.97%),Adani Transmission Ltd (down 3.42%),Indraprastha Gas Ltd (down 3.26%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were GAIL (India) Ltd (down 3.14%), Tata Power Company Ltd (down 2.98%), GVK Power & Infrastructure Ltd (down 2.43%), Mahanagar Gas Ltd (down 2.15%), and NTPC Ltd (down 1.99%).
On the other hand, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd (up 5.13%), Rattanindia Power Ltd (up 3.12%), and Reliance Power Ltd (up 1.74%) moved up.
At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 120.69 or 0.29% at 41137.05.
The Nifty 50 index was down 44.55 points or 0.37% at 12068.9.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 24.13 points or 0.48% at 5037.72.
On BSE,793 shares were trading in green, 1606 were trading in red and 170 were unchanged.
