Yoga camp held in Oxford

On the eve of the International Yoga Day, a yoga camp was organised in Britain's university town Oxford on Monday, Union Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma said.

"People participated in a Yoga camp, organised by the @tourismgoi, ahead of the #IDY2016, in Oxford, UK," Sharma said in a tweet.

He also posted a picture of people performing yoga.

June 21 was declared as the International Day of Yoga by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2014.

Over 190 countries have supported the move to have a special day for yoga.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will performing the exercise in Chandigarh on Tuesday while several Union ministers will do so in the national capital and various cities across the country.
