Letters: For political gains

The government’s sudden move to introduce the Bill to provide reservations to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in job promotions smacks of an agenda to gain political mileage. There’s been much discussion in various fora about the need for continuing with the reservation policy. It is high time the leadership stopped pandering to religious or casteist considerations.
