Looking beyond Delhi?

At any major press conference in the capital city, the norm would be for Delhi-based journalists to dominate proceedings. Not so at the Sahara India Parivar’s New Delhi press event recently, where it was journalists from Rajasthan who raised the first four questions to the group’s Chairman Subrata Roy and it was non-Delhi journalists who grabbed the microphone the most for the remainder of the event. No doubt the Sahara corporate communication team worked hard to garner so many outstation journalists: but was it for favourable coverage or just to reach the hinterland?
