A usually dormant media cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suddenly become relevant. No senior leader is ready to make statements before the media, if its media cell representatives are not present. At a recent BJP meeting, General Secretary Ananth Kumar only made a statement in presence of the media cell members. BJP leaders believe this makes the sound byte look official.
