A sales person wittingly networks with a 'captive audience' while they use the washroom

At a recent meet on entrepreneurship in the capital, process consultancy QAI Global’s CEO Navyug Mahnot provided a usefully amusing story on the art of networking. In its start-up phase, Mahnot attended a networking event with a colleague from sales. Let’s try and meet as many people as possible, he told him. At the end of the event, Mahnot found he had collected eight cards but his colleague had collected about 57. When a bemused boss asked him how he managed to collect so many cards, the sales person explained, ‘’Every time someone went to the wash room, I went with them,’’ getting him a captive audience, so to speak.
