Air Works announces expansion activities

Indian MRO company Air Works, which has been handling technical checks and maintenance of aircraft, today announced expansion of its activities, saying it would now on also undertake restoration and refurbishment of the interiors of planes and helicopters.
Air Works' new Aircraft Appearance Division, based in Mumbai, would focus on both the interior and exterior appearance of corporate planes and choppers, with top company officials saying the firm would strive to expand its capabilities to cater for scheduled airlines as well.
Air Works India (Engineering) Pvt Ltd has been providing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for business and commercial aircraft for several years. It has approvals from DGCA and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
"With the introduction of this new workshop capability in Mumbai, customers in India, Asia and the Middle East will be able to save on time and cost and be able to locally inspect or execute last minute changes or additions in their requirements," an Air Works spokesperson said.
With its MRO and interior refurbishment capabilities, Air Works plans to become a one-stop solutions provider to general aviation and airlines in this part of the globe, she said.
Air Works' Vice President (General Aviation) Nick White said, "We intend to apply for EASA approval for our interiors shop in due course which will then make us the first ever facility in India with EASA approval to refurbish aircraft."
"Being the first ever in the country with a full set of solutions all under one roof, we will be able to cater to all customer requirements," Praveen Srivastava, Assistant VP (Aircraft Appearance Division), said.
