Child among 3 killed as truck hits jeep near Mukerian

A child and two women were today killed and two others got injured when the jeep in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck in Punjab's Hoshiarpur district, police said.

The accident occurred in a village falling under Mukerian police station this morning, Hoshiarpur SSP Sukhchain Singh Gill said, adding the victims belonged to Faridkot.

A case had been registered in connection with the incident, he added.
