Govt gives undertaking, SEC's peition disposed of

A Division Bench, headed by Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen, disposed of the plea after the state government gave an undertaking that they have already issued the draft guidelines for reservation on November 9.

The draft reservation list will be issued on December 4.

The court granted time till December 12, to the public to file their objections.

The government in its undertaking stated that the final list of reservation will be published on or before December 17 and reservation to the posts of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, President and Vice-President of all the 209 municipalities will be issued on or before January 31, 2013.

 

The petition was then accordingly disposed of.
