; In a bid to prevent child marriages in the district, District Ccollector Rajaram has instructed all wedding halls and temples to grant permissions for weddings only if parents produce age certificates and that it was the first marriage of their wards.
In a statement here tonight, he said the administration had given strict instruction to wedding halls to give their premises for wedding only if the two certificates are compulsorily produced and recorded in log books of the wedding halls or temples.
The certificates should be obtained by local body president or the Village Administrative officer, he said.
