Imposters rob bullion trader of 4 kg gold jewellery

Three persons, posing as policemen, robbed a bullion trader of about four kilograms of gold ornaments worth over Rs one crore.

The robbers intercepted the bullion trader, Vikas alias Baga (32), a native of Rajasthan, near a crossing in the busy market in Chowk police station area limits.

The accused took away Vikas in their car to the outskirts of the city and robbed 4 kilograms of gold ornaments from him and dumped him there, Dashashwamedh Circle Officer, D P Shukla said.

An FIR was registered by the police in this regard against three unidentified persons and an investigation into the case was on, said Shukla.
