Joyful celebration of Christmas in Nagaland

After attending midnight prayer services and mass, people in their best attires were seen congregating at the churches of different denominations since morning to celebrate the occasion.

People attended special morning services and prayers to seek peace, prosperity and brotherhood amidst festivity.

Exchanges of greetings and gifts, visiting relatives and friends and community feasts marked the celebration in towns and villages of Nagaland.

Governor Nikhil Kumar and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio greeted the people on the occasion.

Much before the advent of Christmas, the homes, churches, private and government buildings and markets were illuminated with decorated lights and Christmas stars in the town.
