Kanwariya pilgrim drowns in Ganga

Anupam, resident of Bulandshar district drowned when he tried to take a bath in the river as the current was very strong, they said.

His fellow Kanwariya travelers raised an alarm and tried to rescue him but couldn't, they said.

Uttar Pradesh Minister Azam Khan, who was present in the district, visited the spot with the district magistrate and superintendent of police Abdul Hamid.
