The minister further said that Rs 4 lakh would be given to a person rendered permanently disabled in a wild animal attack and Rs 1 lakh to those who get seriously injured.
BJP legislator Shobha Fadnavis had raised the issue of tiger attacks in Chandrapur district during the calling attention motion.
Even though the state government issued a government resolution (GR) on March 30, the aid would come into effect retrospectively from January 1, Jadhav said.
