Citing 'personal reasons', Maharashtra Advocate General Rohit Deo today resigned as the Chairman of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.
Deo told PTI that he has filed his resignation this morningfrom the post of Chairman of Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa and cited "personal reasons" for the same.
He however refused to elaborate on the reasons for giving up the post.
The Bar Council enrols advocates on its roll and grant 'sanad' or licence to practise law in the states of Maharashtra, Goa and Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Heveli and Diu and Daman.
