Singh on Tuesday suspended the issuance of all Inner Line Permits (ILP) from the counters of the state and outside till April 15 to combat the coronavirus outbreak.
ILP is an official travel document issued by the government to grant inward travel of a person into Manipur for a limited period.

"In view of the coronavirus situation, the state government will suspend the issuance of ILP from Manipur Bhavans located at Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, online portals and other counters of the state," Biren told reporters on the sidelines of a programme.
The state government recently notified the "Manipur Epidemic Diseases COVID-19 Regulations 2020" to tackle the outbreak.
The provisions of the regulation include empowerment of authorized officials to "forcefully admit and isolate" a patient suspected of carrying the infection but reluctant to undergo medical supervision.
