MP Assembly approves pension largesse for members

Moving the bill in the Assembly, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra said that after the passage of the amended bill, the benefit of pension will be extended to any MLA who has remained the member of the House even for a day.

Earlier, MLAs who have completed minimum five-year term were eligible for such entitlement.

The House also passed the 'Advocate Welfare Fund Amendment Bill' with a voice vote.
