New football academy coming up

Olympian Chuni Goswami and former India captain Biswajit Bhattacharya were named in the advisory board of the academy that was promised to come up in Durgapur in one year's time.
"It would be a full-fledged academy with boarding facilities. We will not charge anything from the boys," chairman of the organisation Anantabijay Laha said.
He further said they have plans to bring in Brazilian 1994 World Cup winner Carlos Dunga to inaugurate the academy at the upcoming Durgapur Stadium that would be set up at the cost of about Rs 4 crore.
Sports Minister Madan Mitra said the state government would give full support to the academy.
