wicketkeeper batsman Parthiv Patel will lead Gujarat in their opening Ranji Trophy encounter against Vidarbha at Nagpur to be played from October 27 to October 39, a Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) statement said.
Gujarat have a strong middle-order with U-19 World Cup winning member Smit Patel, emerging batsman Manpreet Juneja and Venugopal Rao in their ranks.
The team will leave for Nagpur on October 24 and will play Vidarbha from October 27 to October 30.
