Police asked to lodge case against 5 cops for eve-teasing

The Chief Judicial Magistrate's court was approached by Ram Gopal of Lalpur kalan, who in a petition complained about five constables for teasing the female members of his family, when they had gone to the Mela.

The complainant said that when Ram Gopal and his kin attempted to stop policemen from misbehaving, they were beaten up and their gold earrings, cash and mobile phones were snatched.

He alleged in the petition that their complaint was not registered at the police station.

The CJM has directed Azimnagar police station to register complaint against the erring constables, investigate the case and report to the court about compliance by January 31.
