Teenage girl raped by neighbour in northwest Delhi

A teenage girl was raped allegedly by her neighbour in a car in northwest part of the national capital.

The incident was reported from Kanjhawala last night and the accused, Anish (21), a barber, was arrested after the girl's family filed a complaint.

According to the complaint, the girl went out with Anish, who raped her in a car.

The incident came to light when Anish and his four friends dropped the girl near her house, police said adding that some neighbours questioned them leading to an altercation.

Anish fled from the scene but was later arrested.

Medical examination of the girl has confirmed rape.
