Three arrested for desecrating religious books in Poonch

The accused had desecrated the books in Batar Nallah area after which members of a community agitated over the incident by jamming the Jammu-Poonch highway.

The protesters were pacified after intervention and the situation is under control, police said.

A search has been launched to nab the two other accused, they added.
