Hyderabad to host women entrepreneurs' symposium

BS Reporter Bangalore
Some of the country's brightest women entrepreneurs are gathering in Hyderabad this month to deliberate on a host of topics concerning the small and medium enterprise sector in the global context.

The event is an international symposium on sustainability and competitiveness cum exhibition of SME products.

The event is being organised by the SAARC Chamber of Commerce Women Entrepreneurs' Council (SCWEC) and the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP) from August 31 to September 2, 2007 at Taj Krishna, Hyderabad.

The conference would enable participants to share best practices, showcase the success stories of companies and organisations, and include presentations from Deming Award winners. A buyers-sellers meet will help SMEs access international market trends in product designing, brand building, and enhance capabilities of the SME sector.

Any business enterprise run by women entrepreneurs can participate in the symposium. It can also showcase its products, explore new trade opportunities, expand businesses, tap joint ventures and identify local distributors for their products.
