Air France has come out with a special travel-linked scheme that proposes to commemorate Indias 50th year of Independence.

The scheme plans to honour Indian travellers who visited France during that historic year. In other words, this scheme is open only to resident Indians who travelled to or stayed in France in 1947.

The dangled carrot is an all-expense paid four days vacation in France during the period of Diwali. The airline will not only foot the airfare to Paris and back on Air Frances LEspace 127 business class but also covers sightseeing trips to major tourist spots like the Eiffel Tower, LArc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Notre-Dame Cathedral and Euro Disney.

And the most lucrative part of the entire deal is that this holiday is not just for the winner of the scheme but also for his/her family (total group cannot be more than six members).

The major catch in the scheme is that you should be able to prove that you travelled way back in 1947 -- either by showing a copy of your passport or any other proof of your travel or stay.

Even if you manage to cross that hurdle, you then have to hope that your luck favours you for the winner will be selected through a draw.

If eligible and if interested, you need to simply send the required documentary evidence along with your name, address and phone number to Air Frances office latest by August 31, 1997.
