The deadline for exporters to liquidate half the balances in their EEFC accounts expired yesterday. The rupee seems to have stabilised for the time being, but questions remain as to the sustainability of the quiet. More so, because the Central Bank used a later opportunity to hold out the threat of a further cut back in exporters
