Bse To Offer Subscriptions To Ipos On-Line

The BSE president Anand Rathi told newsmen at the occasion of the relaunch of the bourse's website on Friday that the exchange is making necessary changes in its software for providing this facility.
BSE has relaunched the website www.bseindia.com with additional features including better content delivery, ease navigation and hosting facilities. On the content front, the site will allow investors to view the market in various modes -- like all markets, index-wise and group-wise -- on almost real-time basis.

It will also give investors the facility to watch the top gainers and losers by price, liquidity of scrips, and view circuit bands minute by minute.
For the first time, BSE will disseminate results of companies and other corporate development information on-line through this site. The website will also offer investor education covering extensive sections on trading, settlement, listing, risk management, derivatives, carry forward and surveillance.
Rathi said the site will be the platform for all the future e-initiatives of BSE.
It will also allow registered users to take a personalised view on scrip they want to monitor. There will be facilities for investors to create three portfolio of 30 scrips each and information on loss or gain on these scrips will be given on marked to market basis every minute.
He also said the BSE is setting up a centralised trading platform, which will allow BSE brokers to provide net-based trading to their clients. The facility will help brokers offer Net-based trading to their clients with less investments, as brokers will have to pay only a nominal fees.
Meanwhile, the BSE has increased its compensation to investors on losses due to default of broker from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. The compensation would be provided from the investors protection fund of the exchange. Rathi said the investors protection fund of BSE at present has a corpus of Rs 90 crore.
