Euromoney Meet On Sept 12

The Euromoney conference on `India: The Next Millenniium' will be held in New Delhi on September 12 and 13.

The conference, of which State Bank of India is among the main sponsors, will be inaugurated by finance minister P Chidambaram. SBI chairman P G Kakodkar will speak at the plenary session.

About 1,000 delegates, including corporate executives, fund managers, government officials and intermediaries from India and abroad are expected to attend the meet which has become an important event in the Indian financial calender.

The conference will be an ideal place for foreign investors to interact with various government functionaries, besides getting updated information about the state of reforms, government policy-making, development of capital markets and opportunities available to Indian institutions to raise funds in domestic and foreign markets, an SBI press release said.
