Haryana Corp Pays Out Rs 1.1 Cr To State

The operating income has gone up from Rs 18.69 crore in 1994-95 to Rs 25.06 crore in 1995-96 - recording a growth of 34 per cent. During 1995-96, the corporation sanctioned term loans of Rs 113.98 crore as against Rs 55.72 crore sanctioned during 1994-95.
According to Varma, the term loan disbursements have touched Rs 45.16 crore as against Rs. 35.79 crore disbursed during the previous year.
The industrial units promoted by the corporation are expected to secure an investment of Rs 960.24 crore, besides generating employment for more than 33,000 people.
According to Varma, the recovery position of the corporation has also been encouraging this year. It has recovered Rs 35.47 crore this year as against Rs 23.30 crore during 1994-95.
Varma said that a majority of the term loans sanctioned by the corporation this year were meant to set up industrial units in the backward areas of the state.
He added that HSIDC had also achieved success in the highly competitive field of merchant banking. It is a category I merchant banker.
During the present year, battling the sluggish capital market conditions, the corporation managed 24 public issues in various capacities.
