Hoechst Marion Unveils Respiratory Tract Drug

The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS), the second largest network of management schools in the world, has entered into a collaboration with the Canadian Consortium of Management Schools (CCMS) to enhance the quality of degree level management education in the country. The $5,00,000 project will be funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
The project will focus on networking of management institutions, exchanging experience with other national and regional bodies and effective interaction and collaboration with the collectivity of Canadian Management Schools through CCMS.
AIMS, which has nearly 200 management schools in the country, has embarked on a number of projects.

Between August 26 and 28, AIMS, in collaboration with CCMS, will organise its 11th annual convention at XLRI, Jamshedpur. The theme of the convention will be `Management of Services: Welcoming the New Millennium'.
At the convention, nominees from industry will include Anu Aga, chairperson, Thermax Ltd and Lalitha Gupte, ICICI Ltd, among a host of academics from various premier management institutions in the country.
Some of the projects in which AIMS is currently working on include organising annual management conventions and development of a set of criteria for the recognition of management schools. AIMS has submitted the set of criteria in question to the ministry of human resource and development.
Based on extensive consultations, it has developed a standard management education curriculum for the benefit of Indian management schools. It has also established professional links with a number of regional and international management schools network.
