Parles Plans

The biscuit and confectionery company Parle Products has lined up a slew of products for launches and relaunches. Now that they have relaunched Krack Jack biscuit, a new version of Poppins is on the way. Also, a range of party candies are likely to hit shop shelves.
Why this new found aggression at Parle? With companies like Cadbury, Perfetti, Britannia and Nestle introducing products every other month, Parle can no longer afford to be complacent. Even its cash cow --Parle G Gluco biscuit-- is under sever pressure. Parle-G accounts for more than 75 per cent of Parle total sales. Today, Britannias Tiger is making inroads into this mass marketed category.
