Pilot Strike Adds To Nepc Woes

Already mired by problems of tax dues and share transfer, the two-week-old pilot strike and cancellation of trunk route operations is pinching the
cash-strapped Skyline NEPC airline with daily losses of over Rs 25 lakh. Fraught with financial problems, the airline has already cancelled flights from Delhi to Mumbai and Chennai, leading to huge cash losses, said Tripti Kumar, a director of the airline.
Maintaining that other sectors were in operation, Khemka said the cancellation was partly due to the grounding of one boeing for C-check in Bangalore and partly due to strike. Interestingly, there have been confusing opinions about the reasons for the strike with Khemka stead-fastly maintaining that the only cause is the disciplinary action taken against the pilots, though Khemka is tight-lipped on reasons for action.
We cannot bow to the whims and fancies of the pilots and had to take disciplinary action against the striking pilots who were wrecking the discipline in the organisation,
