Torrel, French Firm In Cosmetics Venture

Though Shah was tight-lipped as regards the identity of the French partner, reliable sources said Torrel will be signing up L'Oreal.

The name Torrel is said to be a pointer to the identity of the partner.

The joint venture marks the group's foray into the fragrance and colour cosmetics market. Torrel also plans to go public at later, Shah said.

The company will be launching its own range of cosmetics including skin care and hair care products next month.

Plans are also afoot to explore the cosmetic markets in Commonwealth of Independent States, European and African countries, Vietnam and China.

 

Torrel is exploring the possibility of buying out some well known Indian cosmetic brands.
