Arai, Micro Tech ink pact to make monitoring devices

| Micro Technologies India and Automobile Research Association of India (Arai) have entered a strategic alliance to collaborate & develop products used in monitoring of vehicle parameters related to exhaust emissions as a supplementary tool to inspection and certification regime. |
| A company press release said the tie up also involves development of electronic control unit "� ECU for CNG vehicles, two-wheelers and select four-wheelers and heavy vehicles. The agreement provides that the two organisations can also work on development other products as mutually agreed. |
| The release said, "The deal will help the domestic automobile industry reach global heights and we as the industrial research organisation will immensely benefit from the product development strengths of Micro Technologies. Micro Technologies has in the recent past done some excellent work in the IT product development space and one of its products Micro VBB E-Car has been specially developed for automotive application. We expect to develop and market products together which will be of global standards and will be a benchmark for the global auto industry." |
| Micro Technologies in consultation with Arai will develop new projects and products for various automotive applications, the release said. The company would finalise the design with Arai for each of the applications. Arai will test the prototypes for compliance with various standards and for suitability for intended standards. |
| Micro Technologies will provide product development and support to Arai while the latter will test the prototypes developed by the company and evaluate them; Arai will also test the prototypes for compliance with required standards. The company will share all data with Arai which is relevant to the project and will manufacture and market the products which have been developed by them jointly. |
