| Jalandhar-based IT company Astha Computers has launched a Linux 3D operating system while claiming to have more advanced features than Microsoft Windows. |
| Rishi Kalra of Astha Computers said: "It is a new kind of operating system for computers with Pentium 4, Dual core or Core 2 Duo processors with minimum 512 MB of RAM and DVD drive. The operating system comes on a DVD and includes motherboard drivers, office softwares, games, graphic softwares and multimedia packages. The operating system gets installed within 30 minutes." |
| He said that the operating system included Open Office which could also save files in PDF format. |
| "You can use all your existing Windows data and files in Astha Linux," he said, adding that the introductory price had been kept at Rs 3,000. |
