eInfochips unveils new prototyping board

BS Reporter Mumbai/ Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad-based eInfochips, the chip and product design services firm has announced the availability of the DaVinci Prototyping Board (DVPB) for Texas Instrument's DaVinci technology.

With this, eInfochips has become the first company in India to do so. The DVPB features all commonly-used video system peripheral interfaces and thus enables original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and original design manufacturers (ODMs) to go-to-market quickly by reducing their hardware design cycle.

The board is targeted for streaming media applications like Smart IP Camera, network video server, video conferencing systems and more.

The DVPB is a small footprint board ideal for rapid prototyping. It will be bundled with a boot-loader and software utilities so that customers can quickly re-target their applications on to DVPB.

The board features peripheral interfaces for audio/video I/O, ethernet, USB, SD, ATA, VLYNQ and others interfaces such as RS232, RS485 and GPIO.

"DaVinci provides a high performance and flexible platform for streaming media, video and imaging products. By having expertise on DaVinci technology and offering the DVPB we will be able to give more value added solutions and services to customers across application domains, " said Tapan Joshi, VP Marketing at eInfochips.
