Maharashtra deputy CM Ajit Pawar on Monday said he is not bothered about his criticism by others and is only concerned about what key leaders of the ruling Mahayuti alliance say. Pawar's remarks came a day after a group of BJP workers led by the party's Junnar chief Asha Buchake waved black flags at his convoy. I don't have anything to do with what other people say. I pay attention to the key people, CM Eknath Shinde of Shiv Sena and Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Devendra Fadnavis of the BJP, Pawar told reporters during his Jan Sanman Yatra in Mumbai. The Nationalist Congress Party, led by Pawar, had demanded that Fadnavis, who also hold the Home portfolio, to clarify as to whether he approved of the behaviour of his BJP workers. Buchake had claimed that the NCP is trying to promote its candidate in the Junnar seat for the upcoming assembly polls. They are trying to strangle us Therefore we have adopted an aggressive stand, she told reporters after the protesters raised slogans ...
BJP leader Lanka Dinakar on Monday urged the Andhra Pradesh government to review the implementation of Centre's production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme in the state. He further said the central government introduced the PLI scheme to promote 'Make in India' under Atma Nirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) programme. At this point, we request the present state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to review the PLI scheme, Dinakar told PTI. According to the saffron party leader, PLI scheme's progress should be assessed with respect to the companies which availed it under the parameters such as results obtained and other quantifiable insights. In a post on X, Vaishnaw said the reform measure implemented by the NDA government will improve governance. "INC (Indian National Congress) hypocrisy is evident on lateral entry matter. It was the UPA government which developed the concept of lateral entry," he said. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav warned of an agitation on the issue from October 2. The BJP has a problem with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal because he did as much work in eight years that their governments could not do in 20, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said on Sunday. Sisodia, who was taking part in a 'padyatra' in the Deoli assembly constituency, said Kejriwal was popular in the entire country because he built schools. A trusted lieutenant of Kejriwal, the former deputy chief minister walked out of jail on August 9 on bail after spending 17 months behind bars in connection with the excise policy case. "Arvind Kejriwal is the only chief minister who has brought down electricity bills to zero while electricity is getting expensive in the rest of the world and the country. He created a system of free treatment in government hospitals," Sisodia said. He also highlighted the various welfare initiatives of the Delhi government. "The BJP has a problem that Arvind Kejriwal did so much work in his seven-eight years that chief ministers of BJP-ruled states c
Amid speculation that former Jharkhand chief minister Champai Soren could join the BJP, Congress leader Ajoy Kumar on Sunday claimed that the ruling INDIA bloc in the state would not face any problem if the JMM veteran crosses over to the saffron camp. If Soren switches sides, it would create a fissure among BJP leaders in the state, Kumar said. "The ruling alliance will not have any problem as Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will be the face of the INDIA bloc in the assembly poll this year. But this will certainly create a fissure among BJP leaders," the Congress leader said while responding to a query on speculations about Champai Soren. Notably, Champai Soren left for Delhi on Sunday, amid speculations that he is likely to join the BJP, sources said. A close associate of Champai Soren claimed that the former chief minister left for the national capital from Kolkata.
