Rahul Gandhi acting as tool for foreign agencies to undermine India: BJP

The BJP on Thursday said that US President Donald Trump's latest remarks on the USAID funding to India was a reaffirmation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assertion during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls campaign that foreign powers were trying to stop him from coming to power. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has aligned himself with global networks seeking to undermine India's strategic and geopolitical interests while acting as a tool for foreign agencies, alleged BJP's IT department head Amit Malviya, targeting the grand old party following the US president's remarks. Addressing an event in Miami on Thursday, Trump once again questioned the USAID funding of USD 21 million for voter turnout in India and said I guess they were trying to get somebody else elected. Latching on to Trump's remarks, Malviya in a series of posts on X said Prime Minister Modi had warned of foreign influence, not once, but on multiple occasions during the 2024 election campaigns. He also posted a video in which .

As BJP makes a comeback in Delhi after 27 years, challenges await new govt

The BJP which returned to power in Delhi after 26 years with a decisive mandate has its task cut out: it will have to fulfil key election promises, continue welfare schemes of the previous government, fix the city's pollution and infrastructure issues, and deliver on cleaning the Yamuna. The BJP government will have to get all this done while keeping a check on the financial health of the national capital. The Aam Aadmi Party, which will now be in the opposition, will also be breathing down its neck given it has never been out of power in Delhi since its formation. In the recently concluded 70-member Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP secured a decisive victory with 48 seats, while the AAP won 22 seats ending AAP's decade-long rule in the capital. Among the top priorities of Rekha Gupta, who was chosen by the party to be the chief minister, will be to deliver on its promise of providing a monthly honorarium of Rs 2,500 to women of Delhi. Delhi women to get Rs 2,500 monthly aid by March 8: CM-designate Gupta

Delhi Chief Minister-designate Rekha Gupta on Thursday assured that the BJP government would fulfill its poll promise on providing Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance to women. The first installment of the monthly support would be credited to their accounts by March 8, Gupta said. Ahead of the polls, the BJP's manifesto aimed to outdo the Aam Aadmi Party's announcement of Rs 2,100 monthly support if it came to power. Gupta, who was elected as the leader of the BJP legislature party on Wednesday, emphasised that delivering on their promises is her top priority. "Fulfilling the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the responsibility of all 48 BJP MLAs in the capital. We will definitely fulfill all our promises, including financial support for women. Women will 100 per cent get monetary support into their accounts by March 8," she said. March 8 is observed as the International Women's Day. The BJP secured a landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, winning 48 out of 70
