Miley Cyrus says 'can't be grabbed without consent' in response to groping incident
Singer-actor Miley Cyrus has come up with a powerful statement following her recent groping incident where she says no matter what a woman wears or how she appears, nobody has the right to grab her without her consent. The former Disney star, who was walking towards her car with husband Liam Hemsworth after a festival performance in Barcelona when a man tried to grope her, posted the video of the incident on social media. In the caption, Miley wrote, "She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin. She can be sleeping with 5 different people. She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend. She can be naked. She CAN'T be grabbed without her consent. #DontF**kWithMyFreedom." In the second post, Miley shared the negative comments she received on social media where the people blamed her for the incident. Comedy Central has announced that actor Alec Baldwin will be the next celebrity to get the roast treatment. The Baldwin roast will be recorded in New York this summer and air on a date to be announced, according to Comedy Central. "Getting roasted will be the greatest honour of my lifetime besides being a father, a husband, hosting SNL seventeen times, receiving Golden Globes, Emmys, and working with Martin Scorsese," Baldwin said in a statement. The 61-year-old actor joins Bruce Willis, Rob Lowe, Justin Bieber, James Franco, Charlie Sheen and Donald Trump, among others, who had also received the Comedy Central roast treatment. Director Michael Fimognari is once again teaming up with producer Matt Kaplan to present the film adaptation of Lauren Oliver's New York Times best-selling novel "Replica". The duo previously collaborated on Netflix blockbuster "To All the Boys I've Loved Before". According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fimognari will helm the project from a screenplay by Oliver, while Kaplan will produce through his banner ACE Entertainment. The story follows Gemma, who is stuck visiting her workaholic father in coastal Florida, where she reconnects with her childhood crush Jake.
