The Jonas Brothers to release memoir, 'Blood'

The Jonas Brothers are set to release a tell-all memoir, "Blood", which will hit the shelves on November 12. The book is the first stint of the band, comprising Kevin, Joe and Nick, writing, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It was announced Tuesday that the Grammy-nominated trio have signed a book deal with Macmillan imprint Feiwel and Friends. They will write the memoir with author Neil Strauss of "The Dirt" fame. The book will shine a light on their origins as a music group, their rise to stardom, the secrets behind their breakup and their recent return to the music scene. "We're three brothers from New Jersey, and we were not supposed to be successful. From record labels dropping us to our dad losing his job over us, this shouldn't have happened or lasted as long as it did. Veteran actor Tanuja undergoes operation for diverticulitis

Veteran Bollywood actor Tanuja has undergone operation for diverticulitis and is doing fine, says a source from the hospital. Tanuja, 75, was admitted to city-based Lilavati Hospital on Wednesday. An insider told PTI that she would remain hospitalised for "at least a week". Diverticulitis, a condition which results in the inflammation or infection of small pouches called diverticula that develop along the walls of the intestines. Actor Kajol, Tanuja's daughter, was also spotted visiting her at the hospital. The news of the actor's hospitalisation came two days after Kajol's father-in-law, action director Veeru Devgan's death. Tanuja has appeared in prominent films like "Jewel Thief", "Haathi Mere Saathi", "Do Chor" among others.

Pamela Adlon joins Judd Apatow's comedy

Pamela Adlon has boarded filmmaker Judd Apatow's upcoming comedy film. The "Better Things" creator-star joins Pete Davidson, Marisa Tomei, Maude Apatow, Bill Burr and Bel Powley. Details are scarce but it is reported that the coming-of-age film, set in New York's Staten Island, will use elements from Davidson's life. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Apatow is attached to direct from a script he co-wrote along with Davidson and Dave Sirus. Tomei will play Davidson's mother and Maude will play Davidson's sister. The film is scheduled to be released on June 19, 2020.

There is no sigh of relief for American singer-rapper Kodak Black as he will still remain behind bars on weapon violation charges. He was found putting in false information to purchase firearms from a gun shop in Miami.The singer bought a 9 mm handgun, a .380-caliber handgun, and a semiautomatic Mini Draco weapon, according to Fox News.Earlier this month, the 21-year-old was arrested during a hip-hop festival at Miami which was marred by several violent incidents outside the venue. 'Batman' writer Tom King collaborating with Ava DuVernay on 'New Gods'

"Batman and Mister Miracle" comic book writer Tom King has been tapped to co-write the screenplay for DC Comics superhero film "New Gods" with Ava DuVernay. The news was confirmed by Entertainment Weekly. DuVernay is attached to direct the Warner Bros film. Created by Jack Kirby in the 1970s, the New Gods comprises a veritable pantheon of characters and some of DC Comics' most complex and epic mythology. DuVernay also gave a shout-out to King on Twitter. "Hey @TomKingTK. Ready to write 'NEW GODS', buddy? A," the filmmaker wrote on Thursday. Last week, DC announced King was leaving the Batman comic in December in order to write a "Batman/Catwoman" miniseries, to be launched in January. Carmine Caridi, who is best remembered for playing Carmine Rosato in "The Godfather: Part II," has passed away. He was 85. His representatives told Variety the actor died on Tuesday after being in a coma at Cedars-Sinai hospital here.
