Chetan Bhagat launches "movie-style" promo for his new book

Celebrated author Chetan Bhagat on Monday launched the trailer of his new upcoming book, titled "The Girl in Room 105: An Unlove story". The trailer of Bhagat's highly-anticipated novel was released along with its title and cover via Facebook Livestream here in Mumbai. "This time I have departed from the typical Chetan Bhagat love story. It is an unlove story. I think love is great -- I may have pushed it too much -- but sometimes in life you have to unlove... we all have (had) situation where we have to unlove someone. "It is a movie-style promo. Such promos for books does not exist, I have to again and again explain to people that you have to read the book to figure out what happened... because the joy of books is something else," said the author during the launch. 'Stree' earns Rs 32.07 crore in opening weekend

Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor's "Stree" has minted Rs 32.07 crore in its first three days. According to the makers, the horror comedy earned Rs 6.82 crore on August 31, its day one. The film, penned by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna Dk, strengthened at the ticket window on Saturday and Sunday with Rs 10.87 crore and Rs 14.38 crore, respectively. Directed by Amar Kaushik, "Stree" is based on the urban legend of Nale Ba, about a witch who knocks on people's doors at night. Director duo Nidimoru and Dk, who have backed the project, are overwhelmed with the response. "The response is truly overwhelming. It's a script that's been close to our heart ever since we wrote it. We were waiting for the right time to make it. I now think we chose the right script to turn producers with. I was not psychoanalysed: Dakota Johnson clarifies seeking therapy post 'Suspiria' comment

Dakota Johnson has clarified her remark that she underwent "therapy" after shooting the horror film "Suspiria" saying she was "not psychoanlaysed". In Elle magazine's April interview, the actor had said the Luca Guadagnino directorial "f**ked me up so much I had to go to therapy". When asked about the procedure, Johnson said she is a "porous person" who gets affected by her surroundings. "First of all, I was not psychoanalysed and I hope I never will be. Fame intoxicating but you sober down too: Dharmendra

Veteran actor Dharmendra says fame can be intoxicating but one can avoid getting trapped by staying true to one's roots. Dubbed as an actor who has delivered a lot of hits in his long career, Dharmendra says "money and fame" were never a criteria for him or his children. "We don't know how to do rat race. Fame is intoxicating. It goes to your head but you sober down too. We are not addicted to it," Dharmendra told PTI in an interview. "But love is a passion which makes a home in hearts. That is what happened with us. People can't remove the home we have built in their hearts. They will feel for us. My audience is my family. They feel a lot for me," he said. Govinda-starrer 'Fryday' to release on October 12

'Cats' to clash with 'Star Wars: Episode IX' on December 20

The new film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's beloved musical "Cats" will have a face-off with "Star Wars: Episode IX" on December 20. Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper will helm the project from Lee Hall's take on the musical, based on TS Eliot's children's poems. The film will follow the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they make what is known as "the Jellicle choice" and decide which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life. According to Variety, Universal Pictures was originally going to release another musical hit, "Wicked" in the slot, which is currently delayed and re-dated. Besides "Episode IX", "Cats" also faces stiff competition from Fox's Hercule Poirot mystery "Death on the Nile".

Christina Grimmie's mother Tina dies of breast cancer

Singer Christina Grimmie's mother, Tina, has died of breast cancer. The news comes two years after the singer, age 22, was gunned down by a deranged fan following a concert performance in Orlando. The Grimmie family announced the Tina's demise on social media Sunday. "We are saddened to announce the loss of our beloved Tina, also affectionately known as 'Mama Grimmie' to the millions of fans of Christina Grimmie around the world. She will be missed immensely," the family said in a statement. "Tina fought a courageous and brave battle with cancer for many years, even until her final hours with family by her side.
