India's entrance test preparation market to reach $23-26 bn by FY30

India's test preparation market is expected to reach in the range of USD 23-26 billion by financial year 2030, market research firm Redseer Strategy Consultants said on Thursday. According to the report titled, leadership in the segment will depend on the operating model, not scale, faculty, or reach alone. "India's test preparation market is around USD 14.8 Bn in FY26, projected to reach USD 23-26 billion by FY30 at a 12-15 per cent CAGR," the report said. The research found that undergraduate (UG) entrance tests are the highest-intent, highest-investment segment within the test preparation industry. "For JEE and NEET aspirants, access is only one part of the decision. Together, the two exams account for nearly 70 per cent of the UG entrance preparation market, with families often committing several years and significant household spend to test preparation," the report said. NTA announces revised CUET-UG 2026 schedule; exams on May 31, June 6 and 7

The National Testing Agency has released revised examination dates and admit cards for the Common University Entrance Test 2026 for admissions in undergraduate programmes that were rescheduled from May 28 owing to Eid-ul-Azha. According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the examinations will now be conducted on May 31, June 6 and June 7. The NTA said that admit cards for candidates appearing for the test on May 31 have been released and they can be downloaded from the official website cuet.nta.nic.in. The admit cards for June 6 and 7 will be released soon, the agency said. "Stay updated by checking the official website regularly," the NTA said. NEET-PG exam conducted across 301 cities; over 242,000 candidates appear

More than 2,42,000 candidates on Sunday appeared for the NEET-PG exam, which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for admission to various post graduate medical courses. The exam was conducted in a single shift on the computer-based platform across 301 cities and in 1,052 test centres, official sources said. This is the largest computer-based exam in India in terms of number of candidates which has been conducted in a single shift. The NBEMS had engaged more than 2,200 faculty members from various medical colleges and accredited hospitals to ensure zero tolerance towards use of unfair means cases. The NBEMS had also written to the chief secretaries, DGPs of all the states to ensure adequate law and order, cyber security and uninterrupted power supply at all the test centres. CUET-UG cancelled in conflict-hit J&K for 2nd day over technical glitch

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG was cancelled at a centre in Srinagar's Rangreth for the second day on Wednesday due to technical glitches, officials said. The National Testing Agency (NTA) said the exam for the affected candidates will be conducted in the coming days. The crucial entrance exam began on Tuesday after being deferred from May 8. "Due to technical glitches, the examination process at Kite Polytechnic, Rangreth, Srinagar, could not be conducted. Examination for the affected candidates will be scheduled on the upcoming dates, and admit cards will be issued in due course," a senior NTA official said. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG has been postponed and will now begin from May 13, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Tuesday night. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses is set to undergo several changes in the 2025 edition following a review by an expert panel, according to UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar. The University Grants Commission (UGC) had constituted an expert committee to review the conduct of CUET-UG and PG. "Based on feedback from past years, it is also essential to continuously improve the examination process to provide a better, more efficient and conducive environment for students taking CUET. In this spirit, the UGC has constituted an expert committee to review the conduct of CUET-UG and CUET-PG for 2025," Kumar told PTI.
