PM conducting 'Mann ki Baat', while Centre deprives WB of funds: TMC leader

Senior TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee on Monday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his 'Mann ki Baat' radio broadcast and said while its 100th episode was heralded with great fanfare, the poor masses of Bengal were deprived of Central funds under the 100-day MGNREGA scheme. In the 100th episode of 'Mann ki Baat', Modi on Sunday said the broadcast filled the "emptiness" he felt after coming to Delhi in 2014 and described it as an expression of the feelings of crores of Indians which has ensured he is never cut-off from people. "They are depriving the poor people of West Bengal by denying MGNREGA funds to Bengal. It (BJP) is trying to punish the state's people for their defeat in the last assembly poll in 2021. It is yet to accept the defeat," he said while addressing a rally in Uttar Dinajpur ...

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation (PRAGATI) multi-nodal platform has had such an impact that when a project is listed for review under it, the state governments work hard to remove obstacles in its path. He was speaking virtually at a program to mark the completion of 20 years of the 'State Wide Attention on Grievances by Application of Technology' (SWAGAT), a grievance redressal platform he started as Gujarat chief minister in 2003. After he became prime minister, he started the PRAGATI programme at the Centre to review the progress of projects of national importance, and the concept was based on the SWAGAT initiative, Modi said. In the last nine years, PRAGATI has made a huge contribution to "fast-paced development of the country," the prime minister added. He has reviewed projects worth Rs 16 lakh crore under PRAGATI, he said. Now PRAGATI has generated such an impact that when any project is listed for review unde
