Mayank Agrawal is an Indian right-handed opening batsman. The 27-year-old from Bangalore, Karnataka, was part of India’s U-19 World Cup team in 2010. In the 2017-18 season of Ranji Trophy, he was the leading run-scorer with 1,160 runs in 8 matches for Karnataka. He also scored 723 runs in Vijay Hazare trophy the same year. He also made the record for the highest number of runs in an entire domestic season, with 2,141 runs under his belt across all formats in the 2017-18 season. Agarwal has so far scored 3,599 runs from 78 innings at an average of 50, with 8 centuries and 20 fifty-plus scores in his first-class career. He also has an impressive List-A record to his name, averaging nearly 49 at a strike rate of 100.
IPL career
Agrawal made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Kochi Tuskers Kerala at Nehru Stadium in Kochi on April 9, 2011. After that, Agrawal also played for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and Rising Pune Supergiant. Currently, he plays for Kings XI Punjab, which bought him for Rs 1 crore in the IPL 2018 player auction.

Test career
After an impressive show in domestic cricket, he was named in India’s Test squad against Windies, but he did not feature in the playing 11. Later, when Prithvi Shaw was ruled out of the Australia Test series, he was added to India’s Test squad. He made his Test debut against Australia in the Boxing Day Test (26 December 2018) and scored 76 runs in his first Test innings at Melbourne Cricket Ground. This was the highest score by an Indian cricketer on a Test debut in Australia, going past the previous record of 51 runs set by by Dattu Phadkar, at the Sydney Cricket Ground in 1947.

ODI career

Mayank made his One Day International (ODI) debut on February 5, 2020 against New Zealand at Seddon Park, Hamilton. In his debut game he scored 32 runs off 31 deliveries, including six fours.
