In a series of changes for the NEET-PG to be held later this year, the Centre will expand the choice of test locations, give candidates more time to plan travel to their examination cities, and give them more time per question in the test. The reforms are aimed at making the process more convenient for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) candidates, according to the Union health ministry. "The end-to-end question paper preparation and delivery process has been further reinforced through multiple layers of encryption, secure offline preparation, time-bound finalisation of the question paper shortly before the examination, and controlled digital decryption only at the scheduled commencement of the test," the ministry said in a statement. Activist Sonam Wangchuk will call off his indefinite hunger strike if political leaders meet him at the Safdarjung Hospital and assure him that the issue of education accountability will be raised during the Monsoon Session of Parliament beginning Monday, his wife Gitanjali Angmo said on Sunday. Security beefed up across Delhi for smooth conduct of Neet retest

Elaborate security arrangements were put in place across the national capital on Sunday for the NEET re-examination, with police deploying additional personnel at examination centres to ensure the test is conducted smoothly, officials said. Senior police officers said security has been intensified around all examination venues, with strict checks being carried out at entry points. Adequate police deployment, traffic regulation measures and crowd management arrangements have been made to prevent any untoward incident and maintain law and order.
