Travel booking platform EaseMyTrip Planners on Tuesday reported a 31 per cent rise in its consolidated profit after tax to Rs 33.93 crore in June 2024 quarter. It had reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 25.90 crore in the same quarter of last fiscal. The company's total income increased to Rs 156.22 crore in the April-June period, from Rs 126.64 crore a year ago, a regulatory filing showed. However, its total expenses also rose to Rs 109.03 crore during the quarter under review, as against Rs 91.56 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. "EaseMyTrip sustained its bottom-line growth during the relevant period, continuing with steady operational momentum along with continued focus on profitability. Shriram Life Insurance Company Ltd has reported a profit after tax of Rs 27 crore for the April-June 2024 quarter, the company said. Shriram Life Insurance Company jointly promoted by the diversified conglomerate the Shriram Group and South Africa-based Sanlam Group has breached the Rs 10,000 crore mark in the total Assets Under Management (AUM) to register Rs 11,841 crore during the quarter under review. Packaging materials and solution company Uflex Ltd on Monday said its consolidated net loss narrowed to Rs 98.43 crore in the first quarter ended June 2024. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 270.95 crore during the April-June quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from Uflex. Its revenue from operation was up 12.13 per cent to Rs 3,653.75 crore in the June quarter. It was at Rs 3,258.26 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd on Monday reported a 4.6 per cent drop in its consolidated net profit to Rs 70.15 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal, as lower sugarcane availability hit production volumes. The net profit stood at Rs 73.50 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal, according to a regulatory filing. Its revenue from operations rose 2.3 per cent to Rs 1,421.59 crore in the quarter ended June 30 this fiscal from 1,389.62 crore in the year-ago period. The expenses increased to Rs 1,334 crore from Rs 1,301 crore in the said period. According to the company, sugarcane crushing remained down 54 per cent, sugar production fell 48 per cent due to lower cane availability, and the distillery segment was impacted by regulatory issues and reduced cane supply. Net profit stood at Rs 67.79 crore in the same quarter previous year, according to a regulatory filing. Total income increased to Rs 4,396.06 crore from Rs 4,042.95 crore in the year-ago period. State-owned Hindustan Copper Ltd on Monday reported a two-fold rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 113.40 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2024. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 47.28 crore in the year-ago period, Hindustan Copper said in a filing to BSE. The consolidated income of the company during the April-June period rose to Rs 500.44 crore over Rs 384.73 crore in the year-ago period, the filing said. Hindustan Copper Ltd had earlier said that it is likely to exceed its capex target of Rs 350 crore for the ongoing fiscal year. The company is continuously investing in its ongoing mine expansion plan. Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Mines.
