NLC India Ltd on Wednesday reported a 37 per cent rise in consolidated profit at Rs 566.69 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2024. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 413.57 crore in the year-ago period, NLC India Ltd said in a filing to BSE. The income of the company in the April-June period rose to Rs 3,640.60 crore, over Rs 3,428.48 crore in the year-ago period, the filing said. The company said that the board has approved raising the investment limit in the equity shares of Nevyeli Uttar Pradesh Power Ltd (NUPPL) from Rs 2,637.38 crore to Rs 3,676.00 crore in one or more tranches. However, this is subject to approvals from the coal ministry and DIPAM among others. NUPPL is a joint venture of NLC India Ltd (NLCIL) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Nigam Ltd (UPRVUNL). Auto components maker Uno Minda Ltd on Wednesday reported a 17 per cent rise in consolidated profit after tax at Rs 210.8 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2024. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 180.17 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, Uno Minda said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations in the first quarter stood at Rs 3,817.51 crore, as against Rs 3,092.66 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the quarter were higher at Rs 3,587.78 crore, as compared to Rs 2,906.79 crore in the same period a year ago. Air condition and commercial refrigeration system maker Blue Star Ltd has reported a two-fold increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 168.76 crore in the first quarter ended June 2024, helped by a robust demand of cooling products and cost management efforts. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 83.37 crore in the April-June quarter of the previous fiscal, Blue Star said in a regulatory filing. Gulf Oil Lubricants India had posted a net profit of Rs 68.30 crore in the first quarter of FY 2023-24. IIFL Finance on Tuesday posted 28 per cent decline in consolidated profit at Rs 338 crore for June quarter FY25 as RBI imposed ban on its gold loan business. The NBFC had earned a profit of Rs 473 crore in the same quarter a year ago. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on March 4 barred IIFL Finance from disbursing gold loans with immediate effect following multiple supervisory concerns, including serious deviations in assaying and certifying the purity of the yellow metal. Total income increased to Rs 2,625 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 2,370 crore in the same period last year, IIFL Finance said in a regulatory filing. Bangur family promoted Shree Cement Ltd on Tuesday reported a decline of 51.31 per cent in its consolidated net profit to Rs 278.45 crore for the first quarter ended June 2024. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 571.94 crore in the April-June period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from Shree Cement Ltd (SCL).
