Homegrown FMCG major Marico Ltd on Tuesday reported an increase of 20.27 per cent in consolidated net profit to Rs 433 crore for the September quarter. It had posted a net profit of Rs 360 crore in the July-September quarter a year ago, Marico said in a regulatory filing. Its consolidated revenue from operations was up 7.6 per cent to Rs 2,664 crore during the quarter under review. It was at Rs 2,476 crore a year ago. Total expenses of Marico, which owns popular brands like Saffola, Parachute, Livon, etc, increased 7.65 per cent in the September quarter to Rs 2,194 crore. Marico's total income, which includes other income, was up 9.22 per cent to Rs 2,746 crore. Domestic revenue of the Harsh Mariwala-led company was up 8.02 per cent to Rs 1,979 crore. Hitachi Energy India on Tuesday posted over 111 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 52.3 crore in the September quarter, mainly due to higher revenues. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 24.7 crore in the quarter ended on September 30, 2023, according to a company statement. According to the statement, the revenue for the July-September 2024 quarter was Rs 1,553.8 crore, 26.5 per cent higher than Rs 1,228.2 crore a year ago on the back of a favourable mix and good order execution during the quarter. In the quarter ended September 30, 2024, the orders totalled Rs 1,952 crore, up 11.7 pe cent year-on-year from Rs 1,747.1 crore in July-September 2023. Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd (ABDL) on Tuesday reported over four-fold jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 47.56 crore in the September quarter on strong margin and interest cost savings. It posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 11.34 crore in the July-September period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from ABDL. ABDL's revenue from operations rose 5.23 per cent to Rs 2,029.10 crore during the quarter under review. It was Rs 1,928.11 crore in the year-ago period. "The robust performance in PAT was led by strong EBITDA growth and interest cost savings as the high-cost debt was repaid by IPO proceedings during the quarter," said ABDL in its earning statement. HT Media Ltd on Tuesday reported a narrowing down of its consolidated net loss to Rs 6.33 crore for the September quarter. Private sector Tamilnad Mercantile Bank has reported a 10.84 per cent rise in its net profits for the July-September quarter at Rs 303.18 crore, the bank said on Tuesday. The Tuticorin-based over century-old bank had registered net profits of Rs 273.51 crore during the corresponding quarter of last year. For the six month period ending September 30, 2024 the net profits surged to Rs 590.47 crore, from Rs 534.74 crore registered in the year ago period. Total income during the quarter under review grew to Rs 1,564.88 crore, from Rs 1,365.22 crore registered in the corresponding quarter of last year. For the half year ending September 30, 2024 the total income went up to Rs 3,079.75 crore as against Rs 2,688.11 crore registered in the year ago period.
