NEET-UG 2026: Kerala student linked to Rajasthan guess paper circulation

The origins of a guess paper containing questions similar to those asked in NEET-UG 2026 medical exam were traced to a student from Rajasthan's Sikar pursuing MBBS in Kerala who went on to share it with his friends and a hostel owner, a senior official of the state's Special Operation's Group said. IG, Special Operations Group (SOG), Ajay Pal Lamba said the student first received the material from a friend and shared it with others in Sikar. The document subsequently reached several coaching students and later reached candidates in Jaipur and nearby areas before the exam that was held on May 3. Another official said the student from Kerala forwarded the guess paper with a hostel owner in Sikar and some of his friends. The hostel owner shared the guess papers to students living in the hostel, saying it could be helpful. However, the hostel owner himself later tipped off the local police about the guess paper. PM to inaugurate 1st greenfield refinery-petrochem complex in Rajasthan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan on Tuesday, during which he will dedicate to the nation India's first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Pachpadra in Balotra. This landmark project, with an investment of more than Rs 79,450 crore, represents a significant milestone in India's energy and petrochemical sector, an official statement said. The prime minister will also address a public gathering on the occasion. The nine million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) greenfield refinery-cum-petrochemical complex has been developed as a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the government of Rajasthan. The state-of-the-art complex integrates refining and petrochemical production, with a petrochemical capacity of 2.4 MMTPA. Healthcare hit across Rajasthan as private doctors go on daylong strike

Medical services in private hospitals across Rajasthan took a hit on Tuesday as doctors went on a strike following the arrest of a hospital director in Jaipur. Responding to a call by the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Rajasthan Chapter, private hospitals and nursing homes went on a strike from 8 am on April 14 to 8 am on April 15. In Jaipur, private hospitals remained shut for OPD services since morning. Patients who were already admitted, however, received treatment. The impact was visible across small and large private hospitals. Some hospitals even suspended emergency services. Authorities strengthened arrangements in government hospitals in view of the strike. 5 children die in five days from mysterious illness in Rajasthan's Salumber

Five children, including two siblings, have died within five days from a mysterious illness in Rajasthan's Salumber district, officials said on Wednesday. The children, aged between two and four years, reportedly developed symptoms such as fever and vomiting and died within 24 hours, they said. The cases were reported from Lalpura and Ghata villages in the Lasadiya sub-division, where health department teams have been deployed to collect samples and monitor the situation. Officials identified the deceased as Deepak (4), his brother Laxman (3), and Seema (4) from Lalpura village, and Rahul (4) and Kajal (2) from Ghata village. Eight other children are currently undergoing treatment at hospitals in Salumber and Udaipur, officials said. Additional District Magistrate Dinesh Rai Sapela said screening of residents was carried out in the affected villages, which have over 560 households. PM Modi to inaugurate refinery in Rajasthan's Barmer on April 21: CM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan on April 21 to inaugurate a refinery at Pachpadra in Barmer district, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has announced. "It is a matter of pride that the prime minister will visit Rajasthan to inaugurate the Pachpadra refinery," Chief Minister Bhananlal Sharma said on X late Tuesday night. The Greenfield Refinery-cum-Petrochemical Complex at Barmer was set up by HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited, which is a joint venture between the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and the Government of Rajasthan, with 74 per cent and 26 per cent stakes respectively. The complex has a capacity of 9 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA), including 2.4 MMTPA of petrochemical products.
