Better Alternatives

We were thinking in terms of a second car for city use (my wife drives to work too) or short trips. Read about the Reva and it sounds pretty cool. The only problem being it's an electric vehicle (EV) and charging it in an apartment is a pain (basement parking). Also, at Rs 2.5 lakh, it isn't exactly cheap. What do you suggest and do you have a road test planned?

We still don't know much about the Reva and are waiting for the manufacturer to invite us for a test-drive. And that's why we don't want to jump the gun. EVs the world over have not met with much success
